I am passionate about design and after completing an intensive 9-month course, I hold a certification in UX/UI Design from the University of South Florida in partnership with Springboard.com. Career Biography

Mike is a seasoned Advertising/Graphic Designer and certified UX/UI Designer with a career that spans decades. A graduate of the esteemed Ringling College of Art and Design, he has built a robust portfolio of experience, advancing from a Production Artist to Assistant Art Director, Art Director, and finally, Creative Director. His career is defined by a deep passion for design and a commitment to solving client challenges through creative vision and strategic thinking.

Mike’s journey began in the fashion catalog industry, where he mastered balancing visuals, branding, and consumer engagement. This role required him to design layouts that highlighted products while maintaining a cohesive brand aesthetic, setting a strong foundation for the more complex challenges he would tackle later.

Transitioning into advertising, Mike specialized in real estate developments, particularly luxury residential projects in South Florida. He played a key role in shaping the visual identities of these properties, crafting everything from logos and print ad campaigns to comprehensive branding campaigns that resonated with high-end buyers.

Beyond advertising, Mike’s career expanded into publishing. He designed for a city magazine and a business magazine, creating visuals that captured the essence of urban culture, lifestyle, and business challenges. He later worked for a publication focused on tourism, producing extensive 300+ page Florida state tourism guides and smaller tourism guides/magazine for states like Florida, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Collaborating with staff copywriters and photographers, Mike crafted designs that showcased regional attractions and enriched travelers’ experiences with compelling visual storytelling.

His adaptability shone through when he became an Art Director at an advertising agency that focused on manufacturing clients. Here, he transformed complex product information into clear and engaging designs for both print and digital media and advertising campaigns. Additionally, he became adapt at trade show design and product display design. Working closely with clients and fabricators, he created booths and exhibits that made lasting impressions at industry trade shows. This phase of his career highlighted his versatility in addressing the unique needs of industrial and technical brands.

Eager to stay current with industry trends, Mike completed a 9 month UX/UI Design Course through the University of South Florida powered by Springboard.com. This program allowed him to integrate user-centered design principles into practice, expanding his knowledge to create engaging and intuitive digital products like apps, websites, digital kiosks and more.

Mike’s career reflects his dedication to the craft of design, his ability to adapt to new challenges, and his enthusiasm for helping clients communicate their vision. His evolution from Production Artist to Creative Director is a testament to his artistic talent, leadership, and commitment to continuous learning.
